Ozone
Therapy

Ozone therapy is one of the most effective, well-tolerated, and safe approaches for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases. It has been used in medicine since the 1900s.

Ozone is a natural gas present in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which protects us from the harmful UV rays of the sun. Is an allotropic form of oxygen made up of 3 oxygen atoms in contrast to the 2 oxygen atoms present in the oxygen we breathe.

Ozone can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapies to treat systemic infections, skin problems, digestive issues, auto-immune diseases, degenerative diseases, pain, and cancer. It can be a part of any medical protocol.

When ozone enters the body, it dissolves rapidly in body fluids, such as blood plasma and lymph, and forms stable compounds called ozonides’. These ozonides stay in the body for several days after the treatment and initiate a cascade of biological events which promote healing.

Ozone is administered to the body through different routes, intra-articular injection, subacute, intramuscular, or intravenous injection when it’s dissolved in blood or saline solution. It may also be applied rectally. Saline solution percolated with ozone is also used as a flush for surgical sites, wounds, bladder, eyes, ears, and mouth. For open wounds that are hard to heal ozone is applied externally by bagging the affected area. Ozonated olive oil, gels, and soap are used for topical application.
